The region was affected by the earthquake in April 2015. With reconstruction and renovation efforts underway, the area has reopened for trekking, and the local people have also welcomed tourists. Trek to Langtang if you want a relatively short itinerary with all the excitement of the Himalayas. Here, the trail is less crowded and the trek more rewarding.The majority of the residents are Tamang who are predominant inhabitants of the region and Tibetan origin, whose culture goes back to hundreds of years. The craftsmanship, dress, traditionally-built stone houses, and the beautifully carved wooden porches reflect their rich Himalayan heritage.

The 7 days Annapurna Base Camp Trek is an ideal adventure for those people who have a tight schedule but still want to experience the amazing landscape and the fascinating lifestyles of the Gurung culture & villages. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek (ABC) (4130m) is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. This trek offers close up views of vast mountain ranges, including Hiunchuli, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Annapurna South peaks.The ideal time for this trek is in spring when the Rhododendron forests are in full bloom (red, pink & white). Lamjung Himal (6986m) and Tukuche Peak (6920m). ABC offers views of Tharpu Chuli (5663m), Singu Chuli (6501m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and South Annapurna (7219m). Evidence of the Tibetan Buddhist influence in this region is noticeable by the many chortens (Buddhist stone monuments), and prayer flags along the trail. You will also see yaks grazing, bamboo forests and the distinctive Tibetan style architecture in the villages in this region.Your adventure begins at Kathmandu where you will drive to Pokhara and on to Nayapul (1050m) where we start our trek with the Modi Khola River below us and terraced rice fields above. Our next stop along the way is Chomrong (2170m) and then on to the Himalaya Lodge at Ghandruk (1940m). A 14-day trek to Everest Base Camp will take you to the starting point of one of the greatest feats in history, the climbing of Mt. Everest. This amazing and very popular 15-day trek on the Annapurna Circuit begins in Kathmandu and takes you through the Annapurna Conservation Area, visiting unique culturally rich Tibetan Buddhist Gurung and Magar villages, along trails bounded by magnolia and rhododendron forests. You will follow the route of early traders along the old salt route, be surrounded by soaring snow-capped peaks, witness unique flora and fauna before finally returning to Kathmandu. All accommodation, meals, and transport are included in the price! The Annapurna Circuit Trek is a trekker’s paradise, with the trail passing through the 7629 sq km Annapurna Conservation Area - that also happens to the largest in Nepal. The trail heads through the world’s deepest gorge, the Kali Gandaki, in amongst amazing pine and rhododendron forests, via culturally rich and traditional Tibetan Buddhist Gurung and Magyar villages, and to the well known viewpoint on Poon Hill where the views will blow your socks off! The highest point reached on the trek is when we cross Thorong La Pass (5,416m/17,769ft). You will pass many villages, such as: Syange (1,130m) via Besisahar, Dharapani (1,860m), Chame (2650m), Pisang (3,300m), Manang (3,500m), Yak Kharka (4,050m), Thorong Phedi (4,500m) and then to the highest point on the trek - Thorong La Pass (5,416m). You will notice that from the very start of the trek we gradually ascend to higher elevations. This is an ideal means of acclimatizing before crossing the pass. We will also have a day at Manang for acclimatizing. After crossing the pass it is all downhill as we head to Muktinath (3802m) and on to the hot springs at Tatopani (1,300m). This 12-day trek will take you to the exact place where Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay planned their assault on the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest (8848m). The trail takes you near lakes, over glaciers, and through the distinctive Sherpa villages that are home to probably the most skilled and respected high altitude climbers in the world. Their skills and ability to adjust to high altitudes has made it possible for many expeditions to scale these soaring 8000-meter peaks.This well-known trek and popular trek in the World Heritage Listed Sagamartha National Park takes you to Kala Patthar, a popular viewpoint where the views are truly stunning as you gaze over the vast landscape and snow-covered peaks that tower above. The flora and fauna, such as Nepal’s national flower – the rhododendron, musk deer and the always present yak’s grazing add to the appeal of this adventure.We begin our 12 day trek with a short 30 minute scenic flight to Lukla, where we put on our boots and head off on the trail to Phakding Village. We then head to the meeting point for many treks and expeditions, the Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar, a lively modern town. From Namche Bazaar we head to Tengboche and its renowned Buddhist monastery, Dawa Choling Gompa. From the monastery you will hear echo the unforgettable mantras of the monks and nuns that create a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. Sherpas nearly always pray before heading to the mountains, believing prayer will ensure a safe passage. The next village we come to is Thukla from where we begin heading to higher elevations. We then come to Lobuche (4,940m /16,210 ft) from where we have panoramic views of the Himalayas. Our next stop is Everest Base Camp (5364m), the highest point on the trek. This is where you can think just how Hillary and Norgay felt as they planned their ascent of the highest peak in the world, keeping in mind this was 67 years ago and they did not have technology like we do today to assist them. The next stunning feature of this trek is the gigantic Khumbu Glacier, rising from (4,900m/16,100ft) at its lowest point to (7,600m/ (24,900ft) at its source higher up the mountain. Gorak Shep (5,185m) and Kala Patthar viewpoint are next stops on the trail. To ensure we get the best views from Kala Patthar we will get up very early in the morning when the air is pure and the light is perfect to catch the splendor of the sun rising over the mountains. Mt. Everest and the Khumbu Glacier and their pure whiteness are clearly observable from here. We then head back to Gorakshep, Pheriche, Namche Bazaar and to where we began our trek at Lukla. Here is an opportunity to get away from the crowds! The Manaslu region is in the Gorkha district right on the border with Tibet. Manaslu is also the 8th highest peak in the world. This region has only recently been open to tourism and offers a glimpse of amazing natural beauty, as well as exposure to the Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist culture. The trek is a visual feast of many soaring Himalayan peaks, such as Himal Chuli (7893m), Ngadi Chuli (7871m), Shringi Himal (7187m), Langpo (6965m), Saula (6235m), and of course Manaslu (8163m/26,781 ft), also known as Kutang. Manaslu in Sanskrit means Mountain of the spirit”, derived from the word Manasa, meaning “intellect” or “soul”. The real trekking begins at Soti Khola and ends at Dharapani with the trail winding its way through Budhi Gandaki Valley, across numerous rivers, to the Pungen Glacier and to the ancient Tibetan settlement at Lho. A visit to Gorkha is an eye-opener, being the ancient kingdom of the Shah Dynasty with a mix of Buddhist and Hindu cultures. This trek has so much to offer in the way of natural beauty, such as alpine glaciers, waterfalls and amazing flora and fauna. The highest point on the trek is Larkya La Pass (5106m), located close to the Tibetan border. The rhododendron forests are particularly colorful during spring, with the vivid white, pink and red flowers.
