On the way to Gjirokastra we can Visit Castle of Ali Pasha of Tepelena in Tepelena City, the castle has existed since in antiquity but is rebuilt by Ali Pasha in 1819 in surface of 4-5 hectares with three entrance and three towers. Welcome to the city inhabited for almost 3000 years. The town which was the birthplace of emperors, and visited by apostles and other characters of the ancient world. The city was full of legends and ancient ruins, which are silent witnesses of a flourishing period and old stories that blend in harmony with the rhythms of modern life. The city with broad beaches and mild climate, with one of the most significant seaports on the Adriatic coast, the capital of famous musicians and poets, old quarters alive with luxurious bars and modern buildings. The city with hospitable people is always ready to welcome visitors and guests. These are what you will find in Durres, one of the most crucial tourist attractions across Albania.

 Depart from Durres at 9:00 a.m. The drive to Lezha takes approximately one hour. The city of Lezha dates back to at least the 8th century. We will start by visiting the Lezha Castle, which bears traces of Illyrian, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman architecture. From the top of the castle, you will enjoy a beautiful 360-degree view of Lezha, the Adriatic Sea, and the mountain. After we continue to visit the memorial tomb of Skanderbeg, the Albanian national hero (it is one of the most touristy landmarks in the town of Lezha), it was inaugurated in 1981 over the ruins of a Saint Nicholas cathedral. We suggest having an optional lunch at an agro-tourism family restaurant between Shkodra and Lezha. We will taste some delicacies of this region, such as pickles, local cheeses, bio-olive oil, several kinds of bread, etc., in their rustic form. The main specialty of the restaurant is goat meat done in a very traditional way. We return to Durres.
