We arrive in Konya by plane in the morning.

We have breakfast at the social facilities. Then we go to the Karatay Museum and Alaaddin Hill. It takes us back centuries. We savor the peace there.

Then we go to the shrine of Şems. We feel the urge to converse with him. We feel that smile and heart palpitations, knowing he hears our prayers. Our minds are filled with contemplation, our hearts are filled with happiness.

And Mevlana…

He calls us to himself. We burn with the desire to meet him amidst the crowd. We gently greet him from behind the figures, exhibited objects, and books lined up one by one in the rooms. With the hope that he greets us too…

He hears us. He says welcome. In those few seconds, a secret conversation begins between us. A few seconds are enough to understand many things. We understand his sainthood and greatness again.

From there, we're going to Meram to eat meat-filled bread. There are some really nice places. We're enjoying our meat-filled bread and the salads that come with it, all surrounded by nature. Meat-filled bread is truly a dish worth tasting… It has a completely different flavor when eaten in its original location. The last stop of our day trip is the Mevlana Cultural Center… Every Saturday at 7 PM, there are whirling dervish ceremonies. While the whirling dervishes are mesmerized by the love of God, we question ourselves. Where do we stand in relation to divine love? God calls us to beauty and goodness. Yet we stubbornly walk towards evil. If only we could take Mevlana as an example… If only we could mold our existence with Him. Everything would be more beautiful and truer. As it should be…

A person should grasp the goodness within themselves and hold on tightly, never letting go. Just like in the Masnavi… Actually, reading it from beginning to end is also a need for today's people… It's not enough to just watch whirling dervish performances. It is necessary to understand, comprehend, and incorporate the Masnavi into one's life. Modern people have a greater need to understand Mevlana. Visits can encourage people to read his works even more. That's why one must come to Konya. One must immerse oneself in this place. Konya, in all its splendor, calls to us. For those who can perceive it…
