Itinerary

Meeting at the Chisinau International and transfer from airport to the hotel.

Chisinau is the country’s main tourist destination, with beautiful Orthodox churches, museums and parks offering free wi-fi – a real life saver to any traveller. Locals call it the White Stone Flower, as many of the older building are of white limestone. Although Chisinau suffered two World Wars, the city saved its beauty with buildings designed by famous Russian architects, such as Bernardazzi and Sciusev. During the city tour we will get familiar with the local history, culture, architecture, and everyday life. 

Accommodation in Chisinau.

Cricova is one of the few wineries in the world that still produce sparkling wines according to the traditional Champenoise method. The wine ageing is done fully in the underground cellars, boasting 70 km in total length. Currently is is home to 1,2 mln bottles and 640 types of wines. The oldest wine in the collection and the only one of its kind in the world is the wine “Easter Jerusalem”, produced in just one batch in 1902. 

We will drive to Orheiul Vechi to visit one of the most impressive attraction of Moldavia: The Monastery carved in the Rock. As no were in the world, even in our days, the orthodox monks pray and spend all their life inside the caves transformed into monastery`s cells.

After breakfast, you will discover the beauty of Capriana Monastery in Chisinau, one of the oldest monasteries of Moldova. Then you will depart to Iasi, the second-largest city in Romania after Bucharest.

We will visit Agapia, the biggest Monastery in Romania (over 500 nuns), where we will visit also the church with a unique inside painting, made by Nicolae Grigorescu. 

Next we take the road to Transylvania, driving through to the Bicaz Gorges, where, we will enjoy a real spectacle of the wild nature. The gorge twists and turns steeply uphill for 5km, cutting through sheer, 300m-high limestone rocks. We will also admire the beauty of the „Red Lake “, the largest natural mountain lake in Romania. Accommodation in Sighisoara.

Sighisoara (Schässburg), one of the most beautiful and well-preserved medieval cities in Romania. Here we will make the city tour by visiting the Citadel - a 12th century Saxon edifice located in the historic center. Still occupied, the citadel is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers the visitors sights like The Clock Tower, Dracula`s birth house, The Covered Staircase that leads to the wonderful Church on the Hill.

we will follow the history`s tracks by visiting the citadel. We continue our trip through UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Biertan. We will visit here the 15th century fortified church, which used to be the Bishops' residence for more than 300 years. Accommodation in Sibiu.

Sibiu (the European Cultural Capital 2007 and European Region of Gastronomy in 2019) in order to discover the secrets of this magnificent medieval city. We will visit the main cultural objectives like: The Evangelical Church, the Liar’s Bridge, The Small Square with “the eyes of the city”, The Big Square.

We will depart to Bran village, where the world-famous Dracula Castle is located. The castle was built in 1377 to safeguard the trading route between Transylvania and Wallachia, enlarged and restored a few times to become a royal residence in the 1920s under Queen Marie of Romania. Nowadays, Bran Castle is the most visited castle in Romania and is known, all over the world, as Dracula`s Castle. In Brasov we will have a city tour of the middle-aged city inside the Carpathian Arch, visiting the main touristic features: The Council Hall, the Black Church, the 14th century St. Saint Nicholas Church, the Schei quarter, The Rope Street (the narrowest street in Romania). 

The Royal Family`s favourite city (Sinaia) will be our next target. The gateway to wild nature is possible here, a mountain resort known also as „The Pearl of the Carpathians “. This place impresses everyone by the beauty of its landscapes, guarding a treasure of the Romanian history: The Peles Castle, used as a summer residence for the royal family, this monument represents a symbol of elegance and nobility.
