Daily Nemrut Tour From Diyarbakir

In the morning, we pick you up from your hotel in Diyarbakır and depart for Adıyaman to begin our Nemrut Mountain tour. Our first stop is Karakuş Tumulus, a monumental tomb belonging to the Commagene Royal Family, named after the eagle statue standing on one of its columns. We then continue to the Cendere Bridge, built during the reign of Roman Emperor Septimius Severus across the narrowest part of the Cendere Stream. This impressive Roman bridge is one of the best-preserved historical landmarks in the region. Next, we visit Old Kahta Castle (Yeni Kale) and the nearby Devil's Bridge before continuing to the Arsemia Ruins, the ancient summer capital of the Commagene Kingdom. Founded in the 3rd century BC by Arsames, the city offers fascinating historical remains and inscriptions that reflect the region's rich cultural heritage. Our journey continues to Mount Nemrut, one of Türkiye's most remarkable archaeological sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located at an altitude of 2,206 meters, Mount Nemrut is famous for its monumental stone statues of gods and kings commissioned by King Antiochus I of Commagene. We explore the eastern and western terraces, admire the colossal statues, and enjoy the spectacular panoramic views from the summit. After completing our visit to Mount Nemrut, we begin our return journey to Diyarbakır. We drop you off at your hotel, bringing our daily tour to an end.
