Itinerary
Arrive in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, and meet your local guide. Transfer to the Cosmos Kazan Hotel or a similar property and complete check-in.
Lunch at the hotel
Begin your sightseeing program with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Kazan Kremlin, one of the city’s most important historical and cultural landmarks. Explore the impressive Kul Sharif Mosque and visit the Museum of Islamic Culture, located on the lower level of the mosque complex.
Continue with a leisurely walk along Bauman Street, Kazan’s lively pedestrian avenue, before heading to the historic Old Tatar Quarter (Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda). Admire its colorful traditional wooden houses, historic mosques, and distinctive Tatar architecture.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Tatar culinary master class at a local homestyle museum. Learn how to prepare regional dishes and finish the experience with a home-cooked Tatar dinner.

Embark on a full-day excursion to Bolgar, one of Tatarstan’s most important historical and cultural destinations. Located on the banks of the Volga River, Bolgar is closely associated with the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgars in 922 CE and is today recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit the Museum of the Quran, home to an impressive large-format printed Quran weighing more than 800 kg, and explore the preserved architectural remains dating mainly from the 13th and 14th centuries.
Depending on the season, travel to Bolgar by:
Summer Departures: Enjoy a scenic high-speed hydrofoil journey along the Volga River, approximately 2 hours.
Winter Departures: Travel by heated coach through the countryside, approximately 2.5 hours.
Continue to the elegant White Mosque (Ak Mechet), one of the region’s most striking modern religious landmarks.
After the visit, return to Kazan. During winter departures, enjoy hot Tatar herbal tea accompanied by traditional halal pastries such as Echpochmak and Kystyby.
