Ananuri Fortress & Zhinvali Reservoir
The first stop is the historic Ananuri Architectural Complex, located about 68 km from Tbilisi. Built in the 16th–17th centuries, this fortress once served as the residence of the powerful Aragvi Dukes.
From the fortress you can admire stunning views of the Zhinvali Reservoir and surrounding mountain landscapes.

Georgian Military Road & Jvari Pass
Continue along the famous Georgian Military Highway, an ancient trade route connecting the Caucasus region with Russia.
The road follows the Aragvi River valley and gradually climbs to Jvari (Cross) Pass, reaching an altitude of about 2,395 meters.

Gudauri Ski Resort
Pass through the popular Gudauri Ski Resort, one of Georgia’s most famous winter sports destinations. Enjoy breathtaking winter views of the surrounding mountain peaks.

Stepantsminda & Gergeti Trinity Church
Arrive in Stepantsminda (formerly Kazbegi) and drive up to the legendary Gergeti Trinity Church, located at the foot of Mount Kazbegi (5,054 m).

Built in the 14th century, the church stands dramatically above the valley and offers spectacular views of the snow-covered Caucasus Mountains.

Traditional Lunch in a Local Family

Dariali Gorge & Monastery
After lunch, visit the dramatic Dariali Gorge, carved by the Tergi River near the Georgia–Russia border at Larsi.
