Pick-up in Tbilisi
Your guide will meet you at your hotel
in Tbilisi at 08:30 AM, holding a sign with your name, before
starting the scenic journey north toward the Greater Caucasus
Mountains.
Ananuri
Fortress & Zhinvali Reservoir
The first stop is the historic Ananuri
Architectural Complex, located about 68 km from Tbilisi.
Built in the 16th–17th centuries, this fortress once
served as the residence of the powerful Aragvi Dukes.
From the fortress you can admire
stunning views of the Zhinvali Reservoir and
surrounding mountain landscapes.
Georgian
Military Road & Jvari Pass
Continue along the famous Georgian
Military Highway, an ancient trade route connecting the Caucasus
region with Russia.
The road follows the Aragvi
River valley and gradually climbs to Jvari (Cross) Pass,
reaching an altitude of about 2,395 meters.
Gudauri
Ski Resort
Pass through the popular Gudauri
Ski Resort, one of Georgia’s most famous winter sports
destinations. Enjoy breathtaking winter views of the surrounding mountain
peaks.
Stepantsminda
& Gergeti Trinity Church
Arrive in Stepantsminda
(formerly Kazbegi) and drive up to the legendary Gergeti
Trinity Church, located at the foot of Mount Kazbegi
(5,054 m).
Built in the 14th century, the church stands dramatically above the valley and offers spectacular views of the snow-covered Caucasus Mountains.
