Following lunch, the tour continues with visits to the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace. While the Notre Dame Cathedral is under maintenance, you’ll still be able to view it from the outside. The tour wraps up with stops at the Old Saigon Post Office and a stroll along Dong Khoi Street, formerly known as Rue Catinat.

Today, after breakfast, depart from Ho Chi Minh City for My Tho, a picturesque town nestled in the Mekong Delta. The 1.5-hour drive takes you from the city’s hustle to the serene waterways.
In My Tho, experience the vibrant local market before boarding a traditional boat to cruise along the river. You’ll witness the thriving agriculture and visit a fish-rearing village. Navigate through the peaceful Vam Xep canal, where water palms line the shores. Then, stop at Quoi An orchard for a taste of the region’s tropical fruits and a chance to see how coconut crafts are made.Hop onto a tuk tuk for a ride through the village, before arriving at Ben Truc – Phong Phu garden. Here, enjoy fresh fruit and traditional music, followed by a peaceful boat ride along the water palm canals.
After the boat ride, savor a meal at Mientay Riverside before making a brief stop at the historic Vinh Trang Pagoda. With its blend of Eastern and Western architecture, it’s a true gem of the region. Finish the day with a drive to Can Tho, where you’ll check into your hotel and have the rest of the evening free.

Once back on the Athena Cruise, relax and pack your belongings before the journey back to the port. A brunch buffet will be served as the ship heads to the harbor. Upon disembarkation, your guide and driver will meet you for the 3-hour drive back to Hanoi, where you’ll check in and enjoy some free time.
