Tipova Cave Monastery – the most extraordinary archeological ensemble in the Republic of Moldova, located on the right side of the Dniester River. Being the largest cave monastery in the Republic of Moldova, it is one of the largest Orthodox cave monasteries in Eastern Europe.
Tasting trip to “Fromage – made in Moldova” Thierry and Tatiana live in the village of Horodiste (Rezina district). Engaged in charity and social projects, the couple works and makes real French cheeses. Buy milk from the locals as a raw material for homemade production.
The visit to the Saharna Monastery, located on the bank of the Dniester River (Dniester), has a very rich and picturesque nature and numerous waterfalls that the Saharna River forms on the way. Tired of travel, you can rest on the bottom of a waterfall in the shade of the high hills and calm. Saharna Monastery is surrounded by hills, partly covered with forest. The relics of Saint Pious Macarius are kept in the Saharna complex. At the top of the rocky hill Grimidon in the Saharna area you can see a small chapel, where, according to legend, it is possible to see the imprint of the Mother of God that appeared in front of Saint Varfoloma.
