Aksaray Museum

Aksaray is like the gate of the Cappadocia region; hence, it is a wealthy city when it comes to historical artifacts. The museum was first founded in the Zinciriye Madrasa in 1969 and moved to its modern destination in 2006. The museum consists of 5 exhibition halls and more than 15,000 artifacts from the prehistoric period through the Hellenistic, Roman, and Anatolian Seljuk periods.
