Ataturk House and Ethnography Museum (Usak)

Ataturk House and Ethnography Museum is located in the Elmalidere district of Usak Province. It was built in the 19th century and converted into a museum in 1978. The building once belonged to the local Kaftancizadeler family, and it was a headquarters during the Turkish Independence War. The museum building, at the same time, is where Ataturk received Greek General Nikolaos Trikoupis during the Turkish Independence War. Visitors can explore the museum's Usak carpet and Esme rug collections as well as Ataturk's personal belongings.
