Kutahya Encaustic Tile Museum

Kutahya Encaustic Tile Museum was opened in 1999 after the restoration was finished in Yakup II of the Germiyan (an Anatolian beylik) Complex in Kutahya. The museum features a sizable collection of tiles that date from the 14th century to the present. The master craftsman Hafiz Mehmet Emin’s silver seal, various tile-making and coloring tools, and a sample of the Contract of Cuppers, the first collective bargaining agreement in history, can be seen.
