Panagia Theoskepastos Monastery (Girl’s Monastery)

Panagia Theoskepastos Monastery is one of the most visited places in the Boztepe district of Trabzon Province. It was constructed in the 14th century during the reign of Aleksios III of the Empire of Trebizon. Its name means "Panagia the God-guarded," and it has been known that after a few major repairs, it took its current form in the 19th century. It was restored between 2014 and 2018 by the Turkish government and reopened for visits.
