Pera Museum
Pera Museum is located in Tepebaşı that can be reacheed with few minutes walk from İstiklal square. The building where the museum held had been originally designed as the Bristol Hotel, by architect Achille Manoussos, and it was as glamorous as the other well konwn hotels of the period as Grand Hotel de Londresa, Pera Palas ve Tokatlıyan Hotel. The building resored and designed as a museum by architecture Sinan Genim and the host of the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation’s collections that are: , “Orientalist Paintings”, “Anatolian Weights and Measures”, and “Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics”.
The most precious artifact of the museum is “The Tortoise Trainer” by Ottoman artist and archaeologist Osman Hamdi Bey.
