Sifaiye Madrasa

The Sifaiye Madrasa was built by the Sultan of the Anatolian Seljuks, Kaykaus I, in 1217. It takes place in Sivas Province and most likely one of the oldest hospitals that could be reached today. Originally known as "daru’s-sihha" (hospital), located right across from the Cifte Minaret Madrasa in the city. It covers 3400 square meters, which makes it the largest Turkish Seljuk hospital. It was decorated with brickwork, tiles, and an abundance of inscriptions, ornaments, and relief figures, which can be seen today.
