Sivas Archeology Museum

Sivas Archeology Museum was founded in 2009 in the city hub. It was housed in Mekteb-i Sanayi Imalathanesi, (a kind of Ottoman-period school) that was built in 1914 by Governor Ahmed Muammer. Visitors can view artifacts from the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman eras as well as numerous finds from the Chalcolithic, Old Bronze, and Hittite periods. Additionally, it is possible to see the fossilized remains of various mammals that lived in the area 9 million years ago.
