Usak Selcikler Archeological Site

Selcikler is an archeological site that once housed Sebaste, an ancient city. It has been known that Sebaste was established in the 20th century BC by the Roman Emperor Augustus. The city was one of the Pyhrgie region's 12 cities, but archaeological finds have shown that the area has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. The city was ruled by the Romans, Byzantines, Turkish Beyliks, and then Ottomans throughout its history.
