Ottoman poet Nedim’s lyrics:

The ruler of the time, Ahmed III, gifted his property here to Ibrahim Pasha.

The mansion was built by Nevşehirli Damat Ibrahim Pasha.


The torchlight festivals called Çırağan Festivals were organized here.

Therefore, it was given the name 'Çırağan', which means lights (çerâğân) in Persian.
