Later in the day, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight from Cairo to Aswan, which is included in the tour package.

Start the day early with a journey to Abu Simbel, one of Egypt’s most impressive archaeological sites.

Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II, carved into the mountainside during the 13th century BC and dedicated to Ramses II as well as the gods Ra-Horakhty, Amun and Ptah. The temple is especially famous for its remarkable solar alignment, when sunlight reaches deep into the sanctuary on two days of the year.

Continue to the nearby Temple of Hathor, dedicated to Queen Nefertari, the beloved wife of Ramses II.
