Itinerary

Upon arrival at Cairo international airport, meet your friendly guide; he will be holding a sign with your name. He will facilitate airport procedures for you. Then you will be transferred to start your 2 days Cairo short vacation package. On your way, enjoy your local guide’s informative commentary throughout your tour. Feel free to ask any questions regarding Cairo’s history or culture.

Then you’ll start your amazing journey. Your first stop will be at Giza Pyramids where you will hear about Egypt’s history from your friendly guide. Giza Pyramids is known as the oldest monument of the ancient Wonders and the only one that still exists today. Listen to your guide when he tells you about how the pyramids had been constructed with very old and primitive techniques. The pyramids were mainly built to house the remains of the deceased Pharaohs.

Then move to the panoramic view area that clearly shows the three pyramids. This is an amazing spot to take some exciting pictures that will last a lifetime. Continue to visit the royal tomb guard the Great Sphinx, which belongs to king Chephren. It is a huge stone transformed into an amazing architectural statue with a head of a pharaoh and a lion’s body. The sphinx shows how powerful a king he was. You will have a chance to enjoy a photo stop while you kiss the great sphinx.

The tour includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren to get a quick look at the tombs of the workers who built the pyramids.

(Optional ) if you are hungry you have a chance to taste Egyptian meals that will be offered for lunch prepared with local products

Things you can do at the Giza Pyramids area :

  • You can take a tour around the pyramids riding a camel – with extra fees
  • you can take a tour inside the pyramids – with extra fees
  • Evening trip to attend the Sound & Light show in the Pyramids area. (35 $ per person)

Once we are finished at the pyramids, we will make our way to the Egyptian Museum. The museum contains 120,000 items and houses the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities, an extensive collection of papyrus, and Greek, Roman, and Islamic coins of the ancient world are located on the 1st floor.

There are thousands of statues, figures, and masks you can see in the museum but you must visit the Tut Ankh Amun’s section and see the Gold Mask of Tutankhamun and Royal sarcophagus. A must-see item is the Grave Mask of king Amenemope, Mummy mask of Psusennes I, Figurine of Khufu, Narmer Palette, and Merneptah Stele” which talks about Jewish exit from Egypt with prophet Moses.

(Optional ) to take your dinner cruises – with extra fees. After the Cairo pyramids and Egyptian museum Sightseeing tour, you will be dropped back off at your Cairo Hotel.

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your Cairo hotel, hop on board your coach, and move to visit Zoser Step Pyramid in Sakkara. It is the oldest burial ground during the old kingdom for nobles surrounded by the oldest complete stone building complex for non-royal burials, the famous Step pyramid of king Djoser with its 6 rectangular bases. It is considered the world’s first pyramids ever. The second stop will be at the ancient city of Memphis; which was an important administrative and military, trade, religious, and commercial center. The ruins of ancient Memphis today offer fragmented evidence of its Glory past.

The ruins of ancient Memphis have yielded the largest limestone statue of Rameses II Pharaoh. The last stop on our way to the south is to visit the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid at Dahshur. King Sneferu’s Bent Pyramid had not been made correctly. Yet, it was a great learning experience for the Egyptians and a step further for building Giza Pyramids. The Red Pyramid was the biggest and tallest pyramid standing in the kingdom until Sneferu’s son, Khufu, outdid his father by building his own pyramid at Giza plateau. When your time in Egypt comes to an end, our representative will transfer you to the airport and assist you at the airport through final departure Procedures and go back home with memories to cherish
