Itinerary

(Lunch, and Dinner included)

The Southeastern Türkiye tour starts with your arrival at either Adiyaman Airport or GAP Sanliurfa Airport, following an early morning flight from Istanbul, Izmir, or Ankara.

Upon arrival, you'll meet our tour guide, and if necessary, you can enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant.

By noon, we will head to Mt. Nemrut, stopping along the way to visit the ancient city excavation site of Arsameia, the Karakus Tumulus (the burial mound of the Commagene royal family), and the Cendere Bridge, one of the oldest stone bridges in the world, built by the Romans in 211 AD.

After a challenging climb, we’ll arrive at the summit of Mt. Nemrut, known as the "House of the Gods." Here, you'll see statues of Zeus, Apollon, Heracles, Antiochus, the Eagle, and the Lion. The striking views, impressive statues, and a beautiful sunset will create unforgettable memories.

After enjoying the stunning sunset views atop Mt. Nemrut, we return to Adıyaman. Dinner and accommodation in Adiyaman.

(Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

After breakfast, visit ancient Perre, 5 km from Adiyaman, then continue to Şanlıurfa (110 km) to explore the Urfa Archaeology Museum and the expansive Haleplibahçe Mosaic Museum, showcasing artefacts from various Anatolian civilisations and insights into Göbeklitepe.

Next, discover the sacred sites of Şanlıurfa, known as the City of Prophets. These include Halil-Ür Rahman Mosque, Ayn-el Zeliha Lake, and Balıklıgöl, where tradition holds that Prophet Abraham was cast into the fire. Additional visits include the Sipahi Bazaar and the Grand Mosque.

After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Göbeklitepe, the oldest temple in the world, dating back 12,000 years. Then, visit Karahantepe, where a recently discovered human statue is believed to be around 14,000 years old.

After a day of exploration, enjoy dinner and spend the night in Şanlıurfa. Then, enjoy a traditional Sıra Night with music and dance. Accommodation in Sanliurfa

(Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Today, we depart early from Sanliurfa to Mardin, 240 km away. Our first visit is Ancient Dara.

Dara is an ancient city in Mesopotamia and a key trade centre on the Silk Road. We will explore water channels, cisterns, rock tombs, and other ruins. Then, we'll continue towards Midyat via Nusaybin, with a coffee break by the Soğuksu River.

Midyat is a city of tolerance where religions such as Islam, Christianity, and Yezidism and languages such as Turkish, Kurdish, Arabic, and Syriac meet. It resembles a medieval city with stone mansions, arched passages, and Syriac churches with high bell towers.

Lunch break in a local restaurant. Visit the Midyat Guest House, known for its unique architecture. You’ll also have free time to shop in the local bazaar, famous for silver and gold jewellery crafted by filigree artisans. Arrive and visit Mardin City.

Deyrul-Zafaran Monastery, Built in the 5th century, was once an important religious centre for the Assyrians. The complex includes several notable structures, such as the Mor Hanonya Church, the Sun Temple, the Virgin Mary Church, and the House of Saints, all showcasing exceptional Mardin stonemasonry. Notably, Deyrul-Zafaran was the official seat of the patriarch of the Syriac Orthodox Church until 1932.

Dinner and accommodation in Mardin

(Breakfast and Lunch included)

We begin our Mardin tour by walking through the narrow streets of this city, which is regarded as the cradle of Mesopotamian civilisation. Mardin is known for its harmonious coexistence of people from various religions and sects. As you explore, you will encounter numerous unique door knockers and beautifully carved old doors, each with its history. The tiny passageways that form these narrow streets are called Abbaras, which are characteristic features of the city.

Our itinerary includes visits to several significant sites, such as the Mardin Museum, Latifiye Mosque, the Great Mosque of Mardin, and the historic Post Office Building, which showcases the region’s exceptional stonework.

After sightseeing in Mardin, you will have some free time to shop. Explore the local market, where you can find Mardin's famous almond candy, regional desserts, and jewellery made from silver, gold, and precious stones. Finally, we will visit the Kasimiye Madrasah (Mosque Kebir), which is notable for its extraordinary architecture and its role in providing university-level education during the Seljuk period.

You will be transferred to Mardin Airport at the end of our tour
