Mount Nemrut is a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Adiyaman province of Southeastern Turkey, featuring the temple-tomb of the famous king Antiochus, which is considered one of the finest constructions of the Hellenistic period, built in the first century BC. The burial mound is 145 metres in diameter and 50 metres high and is surrounded by statues of lions, eagles, Greek gods such as Zeus and Hercules, as well as Antiochus himself. The highest point in the region at an altitude of 2134m, Mount Nemrut provides a spectacular viewpoint for sunrise or sunset, with the scattered heads of the statues lending a mystical essence to the scene. Also on this tour, you will visit the old and new castles at Kahta, the Black Bird Burial Mound, which is the final resting place of Antiochus, one of Antiochus' daughters, and the old Roman bridge over the Gendere River. Important: Mt. Nemrut tours are available from April to end of November. December to March is not possible due to weather/snow conditions. Minimum 2 people required to open departure for this tour.

Flight from Istanbul. You will be welcomed at the Gaziantep Airport by the hand-board with your name on it. NEMRUT Firstly, you will go to Nemrut – Adiyaman You will see the statues of Gods and grave of the King Antioch on a hill in the city of Adiyaman. The story of placing the statues at the head of the mountain will impress you very much. Thousands of people come here to enjoy the sunset or sunrise.The same statues were built on both the west and the north of the mountain. Lion and eagle statues have been the guardians of the mountain. Overnight in Adiyaman.

In the morning we will have breakfast at the hotel and then visit the city of Gaziantep. In the center of the historical Silk Road, the crossing point of the eastern west trade. The modern city is famous for its delicious baklava and peanuts. ZEUGMA MOSAIC MUSEUM The most well known is the mosaic of the Zeugma mosaic museum and the “Gypsy Girl”. In the museum you will find amazing embroideries with amazing stories. GAZIANTEP CASTLE Antep Castle is a small and charming place. You walk right up the street and you’re on it. COPPERSMITH BAZAAR “BAKIRCILAR CARSISI” Check out the shops of craftsmen selling handcrafted products around. You will definitely find something to gift. Another important place is “Bakırcılar Carsisi”. Here, trades both produce and sell. Follow the traces of local life. KEBAP & BAKLAVA When you’re hungry, you should definitely eat lahmacun, kebabs and baklava dessert. In the afternoon we’re going to the airport.
