Itinerary
After arrival, begin your transfer to Gjirokastër, with cultural stops along the way.
The first stop is at Ardenica Monastery, followed by a visit to the Apollonia Archaeological Park, where you can explore one of Albania’s most important ancient sites.
Lunch break will be included, with the location decided by the guide based on the day’s schedule. The journey then continues toward Gjirokastër with several short scenic stops along the route.
Upon arrival in Gjirokastër, check in at the hotel and enjoy some time to rest.
For those with extra energy, an evening stroll along Gjirokastër’s famous stone-paved streets is highly recommended, offering a first independent glimpse of the city’s unique atmosphere.
OPTIONAL: 1h traditional clothing experience, including photo opportunities to create lasting memories (€15 per person). Arrival time in Gjirokastër is decisive for the optional experience, which is available from 08:00am- 20:00pm. Guide will instruct the location.

Today you'll enjoy a not so ordinary brunch,only 6km from city, you'll discover Lazarat’s pastoral and culinary heritage with Jaco and his family, shepherds for generations.
Visit their traditional cheese house and small family museum showcasing authentic shepherd tools.
Enjoy a tasting of seven artisanal dishes made from fresh local dairy and family recipes.
Learn about traditional preparation techniques while savoring cheeses, breads, and local drinks.
The experience is enriched with authentic Lazarat polyphonic music and guest participation
Conclude with time to shop artisanal products and enjoy panoramic views of the Drinos Valley.

Return to Gjirokastër, followed by a guided city stroll. Enjoy time to explore the old town, shop for souvenirs, visit Gjirokastër Castle, and have lunch in your own pace.
16:30 – 21:15pm (For tours in Lazarat, transportation will be provided by the driver; for activities within Gjirokastër, the location will be shared by guide and you may continue independently)
Free time to enjoy one of the optional experience tours at your own pace.
STONE CARVING / 18-20.00pm
Discover the ancient art of stone carving in Gjirokastër with Master Rustem and create your own personalized stone souvenir.
Learn traditional techniques, choose your design, and take home a timeless piece of craftsmanship, with all tools, materials, and safety equipment included.
This 2-hour experience is available for small groups of 1–3 participants at €46 per person.
EXPERIENCE TRADITIONAL EMBROIDERY / 17-18.30pm
Enjoy a 1.5-hour hands-on traditional embroidery workshop at Mrs. Eli’s home in Gjirokastër, where you’ll learn authentic techniques passed down through generations.

WOOD CARVING / 18-21PM
Explore the timeless art of Byzantine iconography and wood carving in a hands-on 3-hour workshop with Master Drini in Lazarat, just outside Gjirokastër.
Learn traditional carving and painting techniques, discover the symbolism behind religious art, and create your own hand-carved and painted icon to take home.
Small groups (2–6 people), suitable for ages 16+, available year-round for €46 per person, with refreshments included.
Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Gjirokastër.

Visit of 12th century, Ardenica Monastery. Ardenica Monastery, built in 1282, is a Byzantine treasure in Albania. Renowned for its historical significance, it hosted in 1451 the wedding of Skanderbeg, Albania's national hero (Military General and leader that stopped the Ottoman invasion towards Europe for 25 years). The monastery houses magnificent frescoes and rare manuscripts, showcasing the artistry of medieval times. As a cultural and spiritual beacon, it stands as a testament to Albania's rich religious heritage and architectural splendor.
