The Machame Route—often called the “Whiskey Route”—is one of the most scenic and popular ways to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. This 7-day itinerary allows better acclimatization, improving summit success rates. The trail passes through diverse ecosystems—from rainforest to alpine desert—before reaching the summit at Uhuru Peak.
