What makes this tour special
Itinerary
Arrive at Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen Airport, meet your transfer representative and continue to your hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short introductory walk. Begin by noticing the details around you: a reflection, a doorway, a gesture or a change in light.
In the evening, meet your cultural guide and photography instructor over a welcome dinner. Discuss your interests, experience and equipment before an introduction to the journey.
Creative assignment: First Impressions — choose three images that express your arrival.
Overnight: Istanbul
Meals: Dinner
After breakfast, explore selected streets of the historic peninsula.
Your cultural guide introduces the surroundings while the photographer helps you work with composition, movement and changing light. Practise building a scene rather than taking every photograph from the same viewpoint.
After free time for lunch, continue to selected market and neighbourhood streets. Learn how to approach potential portrait subjects politely and recognise when photography is unwelcome.
Finish with a small-group review of selected images.
Creative assignment: A City in Five Frames — create a sequence using a wide view, a detail, an everyday moment, a portrait with permission and a closing image.
Overnight: Istanbul
Meals: Breakfast
Spend the morning photographing selected waterfront locations and neighbourhood streets.
Work on reflections, layers and the relationship between people and their surroundings. Your instructor offers individual guidance as you practise.
Take a shared daytime Bosphorus cruise, using it as an opportunity to observe the city from another perspective. Photography from the moving boat is optional; there is also time simply to enjoy the views.
After lunch at your leisure, return for a short session on selecting images. Discuss how two photographs can work together and why a strong sequence needs variety.
Creative assignment: Between Land and Water — tell a short story about Istanbul’s relationship with the Bosphorus.
Overnight: Istanbul
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir.
Meet your transfer team and continue to your hotel in Cappadocia. The afternoon programme follows the confirmed flight time.
If time allows, visit an accessible viewpoint for your first landscape session. Explore scale, foreground and the effect of placing a person within a wider scene.
Creative assignment: Scale — make a small selection showing the relationship between people and landscape.
Overnight: Cappadocia
Meals: Breakfast
Domestic flight: Not included
An optional early-start photography outing is scheduled if weather and access permit. Photograph the landscape as the light changes, with guidance on exposure and composition.
Return for breakfast before visiting Göreme Open-Air Museum with your cultural guide. Follow all photography restrictions, particularly inside enclosed spaces.
After free time for lunch, enjoy a rest period. Later, take a short valley walk and photograph from selected safe locations.
Creative assignment: One Place, Different Light — compare how light changes the mood of a scene.
Overnight: Cappadocia
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight journey to Mardin. A connection may be required, so today is primarily a travel day.
On arrival, meet your transfer team and check in to your hotel.
If the schedule allows, enjoy a short orientation walk through selected streets of the old town. Otherwise, take time to rest and review your Cappadocia photographs.
Creative assignment: Transitions — photograph a few details that mark the change between destinations.
Overnight: Mardin
Meals: Breakfast
Domestic flights: Not included
After breakfast, explore Mardin on foot with your cultural guide and photographer.
Focus on doorways, stone textures, narrow streets and the contrast between light and shade. Practise simplifying your frame and noticing distracting elements before taking the photograph.
After lunch at your leisure, visit an arranged local workshop or small business. Where the host agrees, photograph the workspace and everyday activity. Portraits depend on each person’s permission.
Finish with an image review.
Creative assignment: People and Place — connect an environmental image, a detail and a portrait or human presence.
Overnight: Mardin
Meals: Breakfast
Begin with a final guided photography walk, returning to selected locations or exploring a new route. Use the morning to fill any gaps in your developing story.
After lunch at your leisure, join a selection and basic editing session. Work with the instructor to choose approximately 10–15 photographs, arrange them in a meaningful order and write a short title or introduction.
In the evening, share your selection with the group before a farewell dinner. The emphasis is on your perspective and progress, rather than competition.
Creative assignment: My Türkiye Story — present your final selection.
Overnight: Mardin
Meals: Breakfast and dinner
Enjoy breakfast before checking out.
Transfer to Mardin Airport according to your flight schedule. Leave with your personal image selection and practical ideas to continue developing your photography.
Overnight: Not included
Meals: Breakfast
