AN AMAZING GLIMPSE OF VIETNAM

Upon arrival at Saigon airport at 07:15 AM with flight QR 974, we will go through the immigration and custom formalities ourselves. Meet up with our local guide at the exit and transfer to the hotel for an early check-in & tour briefing.

After a pleasant break, we start exploring Saigon on a leisurely tour taking in the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office, and the bustling Ben Thanh Market where everything that’s commonly eaten, worn or used by the Saigonese is piled high, and souvenirs can be found in equal abundance. Explore Cho Lon, the vibrant heart of Saigon's Chinatown, where you can immerse yourself in rich culture, delicious street food, and bustling markets.

This morning, we leave the hustle and bustle of Saigon behind and travel deep into the Mekong Delta - a world that lives and works on the waters.

Arriving in My Tho, 80 km from Saigon, we visit the beautiful pagoda of Vinh Trang and stand on a chance to witness the morning chanting by resident monks. Next, embark on a boat trip on the Mekong River to enjoy its breezes and admire exotic scenes on its waters and banks. Roam into an insular village to see production of candy and handicrafts from coconut, taste freshly picked seasonal tropical fruits, enjoy folk musical by amateurs, and ride a motor cart along the village road. We also a take a hand-rowed sampan ride along a side arm of the river to further experience river life. For lunch, sample some regional specialties such as Elephant Ear Fish, Rice Ball, Coconut Salad, etc.
