Highlights
Itinerary
Welcome to Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev Airport Meet with our staff and transfer to your hotel, Transfer from airport & check in to your hotel. Overnight in Baku.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Proceed for the Absheron Peninsula Tour, exploring some of Azerbaijan’s most iconic natural and historical wonders.
• Ateshgah Fire Temple (Fire Worshippers’ Temple)
Visit the ancient Ateshgah, known as the Fire Worshippers’ Temple. Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, this site once served as a place of worship for Hindu and Zoroastrian communities.
The word “Atash” means fire in Persian.
This unique pentagonal complex features a central courtyard surrounded by monks’ cells and a four-pillar altar at its center. The current structure was built between the 17th and 18th centuries and remains a remarkable symbol of Azerbaijan’s fire-worship heritage.
• Yanardag – The Burning Mountain
Continue to Yanardag (Fire Mountain), located about 25 km north of Baku on the Absheron Peninsula.
The name “Yanardag” translates to “Blazing Mountain” — a perfect description of this natural wonder. Flames naturally burst from the hillsides due to underground gas vents, creating an awe-inspiring sight of fire dancing across the rocky surface.
Yanardag is one of the most iconic manifestations of Azerbaijan’s nickname, the “Land of Fire.” Return to Baku. Overnight stay in Baku.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Proceed for the Gobustan Tour, exploring one of Azerbaijan’s most remarkable archaeological and natural sites.
• Gobustan National Park – Rock Petroglyphs
Gobustan is world-renowned for its extraordinary collection of ancient rock carvings (petroglyphs). The area has been inhabited since the 8th millennium BC and features over 6,000 rock engravings scattered across approximately 100 square kilometers.
These carvings depict hunting scenes, human figures, animals, ships, constellations, and daily life of ancient civilizations. Some of the oldest petroglyphs date back to the 12th century BC.
In 2007, UNESCO declared the Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape a World Heritage Site, recognizing its outstanding cultural and historical significance.
• Mud Volcanoes
Continue your journey to the Mud Volcanoes, one of Azerbaijan’s most unique natural wonders.
Azerbaijan is home to nearly half of the world’s mud volcanoes, and Gobustan hosts some of the most active and impressive ones. Witness the bubbling mud pools and miniature eruptions — a surreal landscape found in very few places on Earth. Return to Baku. Overnight stay in Baku.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Proceed to Gabala, one of Azerbaijan’s most scenic and
popular mountain regions, known for its natural beauty and variety of tourist
attractions.
• Tufandaq Winter–Summer Tourism Complex
Visit the famous Tufandaq Tourism Complex, offering year-round
activities and breathtaking mountain views.
Highlights include:
Cable car rides operating in all seasons
Skiing on tracks with varying difficulty levels
Professional ski training and ski school
Restaurants, cafés, and entertainment centers for children
Comfortable hotel and recreational facilities
This area is perfect for adventure lovers as well as
visitors seeking relaxation amidst nature.
• Nohur Lake
Continue to the tranquil and picturesque Nohur Lake,
located slightly off the main route toward the mountains.
Surrounded by lush forest and offering stunning mountain
scenery, the lake is an ideal spot for photography and peaceful nature walks.
Its serene atmosphere makes it one of Gabala’s most cherished natural
attractions.
• Yeddi Gözəl (Seven Beauties) Waterfall
Next, visit the popular Yeddi Gözəl Waterfall, located 6
km from Vandam village and 3 km from the main road near Puskan.
The waterfall is formed from several mountain streams
that create seven cascading steps.
The first two levels are easily visible from below.
To witness the remaining five waterfalls, visitors must
climb a steep staircase — a rewarding challenge for those with some physical
strength.
At the top, a spectacular natural panorama awaits.
The site also features a restaurant and traditional
teahouse, offering a cozy place to relax.
Because the waterfall is nestled within a dense forest,
the area remains cool and shaded throughout the day.
Return to Baku. Overnight stay in Baku.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Proceed to Quba, a charming city located in the
Quba–Khachmaz region of Azerbaijan. Situated on the northeastern slopes of the
magnificent Shahdag Mountain Range, Quba lies approximately 168 km from Baku
and is known for its green landscapes, mountain air, and historic villages.
• Visit to Qachrash Village
Continue to Qachrash Village, located within the Qachrash
administrative district of the Quba region.
The village sits along the banks of the Gudyalchay River,
on the slopes of the Greater Caucasus Range.
The name “Qachrash” comes from Persian:
kach – pistachio
ras – steppe / foothills / meadows
Meaning: “pistachio foothills”, which reflects the area’s
natural environment and terrain.
Qachrash is surrounded by dense forests and offers a
refreshing, cool climate. The village is also known for its numerous natural
springs, adding to its serene beauty and peaceful atmosphere.
• Chenlibel Lake
Proceed to Chenlibel Lake, originally created for
agricultural irrigation.
Today, however, it is considered one of Quba’s most
picturesque natural attractions.
The lake is surrounded by forested hills and offers
beautiful scenery, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and photography.
Return to Baku. Overnight stay in Baku.
Breakfast at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Proceed to Sheki, one of Azerbaijan’s most ancient and beautiful cities, known for its rich history, traditional architecture, and breathtaking mountain landscapes.
• Sheki Khan’s Palace
Visit the magnificent Sheki Khan’s Palace, the former summer residence of the Sheki Khans.
Constructed between 1761–1762 during the reign of Hussein Khan Mushtaq (grandson of Haji Chelebi), the palace is an architectural masterpiece of the 18th century.
The palace was built using raw bricks, river stones, plane trees, and oak, but the most astonishing fact is that not a single nail or drop of glue was used in its construction.
Everything holds together through a unique traditional technique — a secret formula that has been lost over time.
The palace is world-famous for its colorful stained-glass windows (shebeke), exquisite wall paintings, and detailed wooden carvings.
• Caravanserais
Continue your tour with a visit to the historic Sheki Caravanserais.
During the Middle Ages, the rapid development of trade increased the importance of caravanserais across Azerbaijan.
Typically built like fortified castles with a single secure gate, these structures provided safe shelter for merchants traveling along the Silk Road.
Today, the caravanserais stand as impressive reminders of Sheki’s role as a major trade center in the region.
Return to Baku. Overnight stay in Baku.
Breakfast at the hotel.
