Tour Overview
Embark on a 15-day journey tracing the wild beauty and rich history of Turkey’s northern frontier, from the bustling metropolis of Istanbul to the soaring heights of Mount Ararat in Ağrı. You’ll traverse seaside towns, verdant valleys, remote highlands and ancient ruins—sampling Ottoman architecture in Safranbolu, Black Sea cuisine in Amasra, the wild tea plantations of Rize and the alpine meadows of Ayder. Each day brings a new landscape and culture, from traditional villages perched on forested slopes to centuries-old monasteries carved into mountainsides. This carefully paced itinerary balances active exploration—hiking in the Fırtına Valley, walking the walls of Kars— with moments of relaxation along the Bosphorus and Black Sea coasts.
