Then, you will continue to Sacsayhuaman, an impressive archaeological site famous for its massive stone walls and panoramic views of Cusco.
The tour continues to Qenqo, an ancient ceremonial site; Puka Pukara, known as the Red Fortress; and Tambomachay, an Inca site related to water worship. At the end of the tour, you will return to Cusco and have the evening free to rest or enjoy dinner on your own.
Overnight in Cusco.
After breakfast at your hotel, we will begin the Sacred Valley Tour. The first stop will be Awanacancha, where you can see Andean camelids such as llamas and alpacas and learn about local textile traditions.
Then, we will continue to a panoramic viewpoint of the Sacred Valley before visiting Pisac, one of the most important archaeological sites in the region. Your guide will explain the history of its terraces, temples, and ancient Inca constructions. You may also have time to visit the traditional market, known for handicrafts, textiles, and local products.
Afterward, we will travel to Urubamba, where you will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town famous for its stone streets, terraces, and archaeological complex.
Later, you will board the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our representative will assist you with your hotel check-in and provide information for the Machu Picchu visit the next day.
Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the hotel and accompany you to the bus station. You will take the tourist bus from Aguas Calientes to the entrance of Machu Picchu. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes.
Once inside Machu Picchu, your professional bilingual guide will lead a guided tour through the most important areas of the Inca citadel, following the official circuit assigned according to ticket availability. During the visit, you will learn about Machu Picchu’s history, architecture, temples, terraces, sacred spaces, and cultural importance.
After the guided tour, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes. Then, you will have free time for lunch or to explore the town before boarding the return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our representative will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco.
Overnight in Cusco.
After breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up for a half-day tour through Moray, and Maras Salt Mines.
Our first visit will be Chinchero, a traditional Andean town known for its textile heritage, Inca remains, and beautiful landscapes. Here, you will learn about ancestral weaving techniques and the cultural importance of textiles in Andean life.
Then, we will continue to Moray, one of the most fascinating Inca archaeological sites. Its circular terraces are believed to have been used as an agricultural experimentation center, where the Incas adapted crops to different microclimates.
Finally, we will visit the Maras Salt Mines, an impressive landscape made up of thousands of salt ponds that are still used by local families today. Your guide will explain the traditional salt extraction process and the importance of this site for the local economy.
After the visit, we will return to Cusco. The afternoon is free to rest, explore the city, or prepare for the next adventure.
Overnight in Cusco.
Your Rainbow Mountain adventure begins very early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We will travel by tourist transport through scenic Andean landscapes and traditional villages toward the southern valley of Cusco.
After breakfast, we will continue to the starting point of the hike. From there, you will begin the walk toward Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca or the Mountain of 7 Colors. The hike takes you through high-Andean valleys surrounded by alpacas, llamas, colorful landscapes, and impressive views of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain.
Once you reach the Vinicunca viewpoint, located at over 5,000 meters above sea level, you will have time to admire the natural colors of the mountain, take photos, rest, and enjoy one of the most iconic landscapes in Peru. Your guide will also explain the geology, local traditions, and cultural importance of this high-Andean destination.
