Half-Day Tour: Saqqara Step Pyramid & Memphis

Your tour begins at 09:00 am with a hotel pickup in Cairo or Giza. A Tour Egypt Travel representative and professional Egyptologist tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby before departing for your half-day journey to explore some of the most important ancient Egyptian sites.

At approximately 09:40 am, arrive at Saqqara, one of the most significant archaeological areas in Egypt. Here, you will visit the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s first large-scale stone pyramid, built during the 3rd Dynasty. Discover the unique design of this ancient monument, which was constructed with a series of mastabas made from limestone blocks stacked on top of each other. During your visit, you will also explore the Tomb of Mereruka, one of the most impressive private tombs in Saqqara, featuring beautifully preserved decorations and ancient Egyptian scenes.

Around 11:40 am, continue your tour to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt and one of the most important cities of the Old Kingdom. Visit the open-air museum and admire the impressive Colossal Statue of Ramses II, a magnificent monument dedicated to one of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs.

After completing your historical journey through Saqqara and Memphis, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza at approximately 01:00 pm, ending your half-day Ancient Egypt experience.
