Itinerary
Welcome to the holiday charm of Tbilisi! Upon arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Enjoy your free time exploring the city’s festive spirit: live concerts by professional artists and creative performers, along with sparkling Christmas fairs on Independence Square and Rustaveli Avenue.
Browse unique souvenirs and discover the works of local designers — from handcrafted accessories to one-of-a-kind gifts that capture the magic of Georgia.
At 19:30, experience an unforgettable dinner at Mravaljamieri restaurant, accompanied by traditional Georgian dances and songs.
Discover one of the world’s oldest cities, where cultures and traditions meet. Stroll through the Old Town past ancient fortress walls, the Gabriadze Clock Tower, and historic churches, a mosque, and a synagogue.
Admire Tbilisi’s iconic wooden balconies, cross the modern Bridge of Peace, ride the cable car to Narikala Fortress, and see the majestic Holy Trinity Cathedral.
End the day with a Georgian wine tasting in a 17th-century cellar and a ride on the legendary funicular to Mtatsminda, with breathtaking views over the city.
Begin at the Arshakuni Palace, an Armenian heritage landmark in the heart of Tbilisi. Step into the atmosphere of the late 19th century with its neoclassical façade, marble staircases, and stories of Tiflis’ noble families — a perfect backdrop for memorable photos.
Continue to the Art Palace of Georgia, a stunning neo-Gothic residence built for Prince Oldenburg. Today it houses over 300,000 treasures of theater, cinema, music, and fashion: opera costumes, Soviet-era posters, rare instruments, and fairy-tale interiors. Recognized as one of the city’s most beautiful buildings, it remains a hidden gem for visitors.
After lunch with wine (additional $32 per person), the final stop is the Zurab Tsereteli Museum of Modern Art. Here, bold bronze sculptures, monumental canvases, and provocative installations blend satire, mythology, and sensuality — with the iconic “Apple of Love” as the centerpiece. This museum challenges perceptions and sparks dialogue about freedom, aesthetics, and
09:00 – Departure for the tour
Begin with Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia and a sacred place often called the Second Jerusalem. Visit the 6th-century Jvari Monastery, standing on a hilltop with breathtaking views, and the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the country’s most revered shrine, said to house the Robe of Christ.
Continue to Uplistsikhe, a remarkable cave city dating back to the 2nd–1st centuries BC. Carved into the rock, it preserves traces of temples, dwellings, and rituals from across millennia. Severely damaged by the 1920 earthquake, it was later restored and now welcomes visitors as one of Georgia’s most fascinating heritage sites.
After lunch with wine (additional $32 per person), head to Gori, the birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Explore one of the largest Soviet museums, including Stalin’s preserved childhood home and historical exhibitions.
This day blends Georgia’s sacred Christian heritage, ancient wonders, and striking Soviet history into one unforgettable journey.
Begin with a visit to Bodbe Monastery, the resting place of St. Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia. Learn the fascinating history of this sacred site and, if you wish, pay respects at her relics.
Continue to Sighnaghi, the “City of Love,” surrounded by fortress walls and known for its charming 18th-century architecture. Stroll through its cozy streets, climb the watchtowers, and enjoy panoramic views over the Alazani Valley.
Next, discover Khareba Winery, one of the largest producers in Georgia, famous for its Kindzmarauli, Mukuzani, and other signature wines. Enjoy a guided tasting of the region’s finest vintages.
Lunch will be hosted by a local family at Old Vine, where you’ll taste homemade wine, enjoy traditional dishes, and even take part in a khachapuri masterclass in their family wine cellar.
Return to Tbilisi in the evening, where the city comes alive with Alilo Christmas processions: colorful parades with carols, national costumes, and festive symbols. Later, you may attend a Christmas service at the grand Holy Trinity Cathedral (Sameba) or join a Georgian family celebration with a tamada leading the traditional feast (optional, $60 per person).
This day combines sacred history, stunning landscapes, world-class wines, and the warmth of Georgian Christmas traditions.
