OPTION 1:Horseback riding tour in Gjinofshat – the ancient territory of the Epirot village

Depart from Tirana at 07:00 AM and arrive in Gjirokastër around 11:00 AM.

Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and a self-guided tour of the historic city, exploring its charming streets and unique architecture.
At 01:30 PM, transfer to the Caravan Horse Riding Center for an unforgettable horse riding experience from 02:00 to 04:00 PM.
 The instructor will assign a horse based on your riding level, weight, and height, and after a brief familiarization, participants will mount and begin the journey.

The ride starts with a gentle 5–6 minute descent, followed by a traverse along the main road through the village, offering panoramic views of the valley hills.
 Heading east, the trail continues with a moderately steep descent, leading to a scenic river crossing where horses can drink and riders can relax.
A steep uphill climb follows, where riders assist their horses by leaning slightly forward and using their knees for balance, eventually reaching the highlight at Gjinofshat, the highest point of the area, passing through fruit-bearing trees and diverse vegetation.
The return journey follows the same route, except for the final stretch, which takes a scenic detour over the hills behind the stable, providing stunning panoramic views before concluding the ride.
 After the tour, transfer back to Gjirokastër for free time, and depart for Tirana around 05:00–05:30 PM and return around 21.00pm.

At 01:30 PM, transfer to the Caravan Horse Riding Center for an unforgettable horse riding experience from 02:00 to 04:00 PM.

Upon arrival at the center, you will be introduced to the horses, guides, and the rules of riding. After a brief period of riding tests and preparations, your adventure begins by leading the horse from the stable to the nearby valley, which takes approximately 15 minutes. Depending on your comfort level, you may lead the horse for the first few minutes or mount immediately and start the ride from the stable. Once in the valley, you will mount the horses and embark on a thrilling journey through picturesque valleys and rolling hills, encountering a variety of landscapes along the way.

The ride offers several opportunities for exhilarating canters, allowing you to experience the thrill of a faster pace while exploring the breathtaking surroundings. You’ll witness ever-changing scenery, from the tranquil beauty of small hills to the vastness of the valleys, with water bodies such as the stunning Lake of Çini adding to the enchantment. During the ride, a short break at the lake provides a moment to reflect on the historical irrigation infrastructure from the communist era and appreciate its impact on the local landscape.

After the break, the journey continues through vibrant flora, grazing livestock, and glimpses of daily village life. The ride concludes with a challenging ascent up steep hills, returning you to the horse stable above the village of Asim Zeneli.

The final stretch takes you across the open fields of Krinë village, offering one last exhilarating canter.
The slightly uneven terrain and occasional shepherd dogs running alongside add a playful and authentic touch to the ride.
