Pick up at the appointed place and proceed to Hoa Binh province. Enjoy picturesque views of the scenic landscape with pagodas and rural villages en route. Stop to visit Muong tribe and then Cun Pass for a spectacular panorama view of Mai Chau Valley. Have an authentic lunch with a local family of the White Thai tribe. In the afternoon, trek through terraced rice paddies and small villages discovering the natural beauty. In the evening, help the host/hostess to prepare traditional dinner. This gives you a chance to learn about the local cuisine as well as culture of minority people. Overnight in Mai Chau

Start the day by light breakfast. Say goodbye to friendly local people and depart for Son La. En route, stop at Moc Chau plateau. Despite it is in summer or winter, the days are foggy or full of sunshine. It is also famous for a large herd of milk cows, immense tea hills, big gardens of plum & apricot, and large pastures of about 1,600 hectares. It would be totally relaxing and comfortable to walk on the hill slope of green & soft grass and enjoy the fresh cool air around. Have lunch at local stall. Continue your trip to Son La, enjoy beautiful view of Northwest mountainous region with Thai ethnic villages along the way. On arrival, check in hotel. Then pay a visit to the former French prison, a famous historic relic attracting several tourists. By watching historic evidences in the relic area of Son La prison and museum, you will feel the savageness of the French Colonialism and admire the sufferance and bravery of political prisoners. Overnight in Son La

Have breakfast. Leave for Dien Bien. You will pass Phadin pass that is about 32km long. In the local language, Pha Din means heaven and earth. According to a local legend, Pha Din Pass is the place where the sky meets the earth, so it is considered as the frontier between Heaven and Earth. At the height of above 1000m, the pass is full of twists and turns, one side is an upright cliff and the other is a deep gulf. So, climbing and descending the slopes with their many bends and deep gorges, amid such magnificent scenery is an unforgettable memory in your trip.

Stop for a lunch break. Upon arrival, visit Dien Bien Phu museum. The museum houses a great deal of documents and objects to the 55-day arduous battle of Vietnamese soldiers and people to make the glorious victory of the whole nation in 1954. Then proceed to the old battlefield with the famous A1 hill, De Castries trench, Muong Thanh bridge and Dien Bien Phu victory statue. Overnight in Dien Bien

After breakfast, depart for Phong Tho - Lai Chau along Nam Na river with many ethnic villages like Black Thai and Red H’mong. Arrive in Phong Tho, have lunch. Afternoon, head to Sapa through O Quy Ho pass. O Quy Ho is a mountain pass connecting two northern provinces of Lao Cai and Lai Chau, it is also known as Hoang Lien Pass, but travelers having a strong love for the Northwest region prefer using the name O Quy Ho. Tourists will also have opportunities to enjoy imposing and impressive scenes of mountains and forests on the top of the Hoang Lien Mountain Range or even a view of mountains going up and down like fingers of a hand, and the Fansipan Peak of course. Late afternoon, arrive in Sapa. Dinner at local restaurant and check in hotel.  Overnight in Sapa

Breakfast at hotel. You will commence your short journey by driving south toward Muong Hoa valley. You will then start your walk by descending into the valley, which is the largest rice paddy terraced among Sapa area. The guide can provide you interesting information about rice. The walk takes you from Lao Chai village of Black H’mong minority to Ta Van village of Giay minority including a visit to the local Catholic Church. After visiting Ta Van, the car will return you to Sapa. After lunch, you will go downhill to Cat Cat village. Enjoy beautiful landscape and scenery along the road. Upon reaching a waterfall and a hydroelectric station, take a short rest before continuing your trek on a dirt trail through rice paddy terraced fields. Back to Sapa market to buy some souvenirs. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Sapa

Check out and back to Hanoi. In the picturesque day’s journey, there are still many photo opportunities along the way. You may stop at Yen Bai to visit Black Dao and Flower H’mong villages. Lunch is served en route. Arrive in Hanoi, transfer to departure place.
