About this tour
The great ziyarat the shrines of Imam Reza in Mashhad, Fatima Masumeh in Qom and Shah Cheragh in Shiraz. Over 7 days the journey runs Mashhad – Qom – Isfahan – Shiraz, with a rail leg across the plateau and a short domestic flight into Shiraz. Hand-picked hotels, an expert guide, and the shrines seen at their most atmospheric after dark.

What makes this tour special
Itinerary
Arrival and private transfer to your hotel. As evening falls, a first visit to the vast, illuminated Imam Reza shrine complex — Iran's holiest site — to feel its scale and devotion. Please note: modest dress is required, with a headscarf for women at shrines; at major sanctuaries a chador may be needed (provided on site), shoes are removed, and some inner areas are gender-segregated. Overnight: Mashhad.
A guided morning in the Imam Reza shrine's courtyards, museums and mirrored halls, then an afternoon excursion to nearby Tus for the monumental tomb of the epic poet Ferdowsi (about 6 hours). Overnight: Mashhad.
Transfer to the station and take the train west across the plateau to Qom — a long day's rail journey through the heart of the country. On arrival, the golden-domed shrine of Fatima Masumeh, one of Shia Islam's great pilgrimage sites. Overnight: Qom.
Morning drive to Isfahan (~4 h). Afternoon at the great congregational mosques — the Jameh Mosque's centuries of architecture — and a first look at Naqsh-e Jahan Square as the lights come up. Overnight: Isfahan.
A morning on Naqsh-e Jahan's Safavid mosques, then the afternoon flight to Shiraz (domestic flight included). After dark, the mirror-tiled Shah Cheragh shrine, the 'King of the Light'. Overnight: Shiraz.
The poets' shrines of Hafez and Saadi and the city's gardens, with the option of Persepolis nearby in the afternoon (about 6 hours of touring). Overnight: Shiraz.
A last visit or free morning, then transfer to Shiraz airport for your onward flight. Departure day.
