Day 2 Kandy Heritage, Botanical Gardens & Cultural Show

After breakfast, begin your day at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka’s largest botanical garden. Spread across approximately 147 acres, the gardens are home to around 4,000 plant species, including orchids, palms, tropical trees, medicinal plants, and ornamental collections.

Continue to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), located within the UNESCO-listed Sacred City of Kandy. The temple houses one of Buddhism’s most revered relics and remains an important pilgrimage site in Sri Lanka.

Next, visit the Kandy National Museum, located within the former royal palace complex. Discover artifacts and historical objects connected to the Kandyan Kingdom and the city’s royal heritage.

Later, enjoy a guided Kandy city tour and a relaxing walk around Kandy Lake, taking in views of the surrounding hills and cultural landmarks.

In the evening, experience a traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance Show, featuring Sri Lankan music, drumming, dance, and performance traditions.

Day 3 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya: Tea Country & Scenic Highlands

After breakfast, depart from Kandy and travel into Sri Lanka’s scenic Central Highlands toward Nuwara Eliya, a cool-climate hill town often known as “Little England.”

En route, stop at Ramboda Falls, one of the region’s best-known waterfalls, surrounded by lush mountain scenery and tea-covered hills.

Continue with a visit to a tea plantation and factory, where you can learn how Sri Lanka’s famous Ceylon tea is grown, processed, and prepared. Enjoy the opportunity to observe the production process and taste freshly brewed tea.

Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, explore the town’s colonial character and peaceful highland atmosphere. Visit Victoria Park and spend time around Gregory Lake, where you can enjoy a lakeside walk or optional boating.

If time permits, additional visits such as Seetha Amman Temple, Hakgala Botanical Garden, or Lover’s Leap can be arranged.

Day 4 Horton Plains, World’s End & Hakgala Botanical Garden

Begin the day early with a journey to Horton Plains National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s most spectacular highland nature destinations.

Horton Plains National Park forms part of the UNESCO-listed Central Highlands of Sri Lanka, an internationally important montane ecosystem known for its cloud forests, grasslands, endemic wildlife, and exceptional biodiversity.

Follow the scenic trekking route through the park to World’s End, a dramatic escarpment offering impressive views across the surrounding highlands when weather conditions are clear. Continue to Baker’s Falls, one of the park’s best-known natural attractions, while enjoying opportunities for nature photography and wildlife observation.

After your Horton Plains experience, continue to Hakgala Botanical Garden, a cool-climate garden covering approximately 28 hectares beneath Hakgala Rock. The garden is especially known for its roses, orchids, flowering plants, and mature trees.

Later, return to Nuwara Eliya and enjoy time around Gregory Lake and the town center. Depending on the confirmed program, you may also visit Seetha Amman Temple before returning to your hotel.

Day 5 Nuwara Eliya to Bentota via Kitulgala

After breakfast, depart from Nuwara Eliya and travel toward Sri Lanka’s southwest coast, descending from the misty highlands through lush valleys, forests, and scenic countryside.

En route, stop at Kitulgala, a rainforest destination located along the Kelani River and one of Sri Lanka’s best-known locations for adventure activities. Depending on the season and confirmed program, enjoy an optional white-water rafting experience on the river.

Continue south toward Bentota, a popular coastal destination known for its golden beaches, tropical lagoon, and wide range of water sports. The Bentota River and surrounding coastal waters offer opportunities for activities such as water skiing, boating, snorkeling, and other optional experiences.

If time permits, visit Kande Viharaya, a historic Buddhist temple near Bentota known for its large seated Buddha statue and religious significance.

Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Relax on Bentota Beach, enjoy the coastal scenery, or choose from optional water sports before returning to your hotel.

Day 6 Bentota Beach Relaxation & Water Sports

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing day at Bentota Beach, one of Sri Lanka’s most popular coastal destinations.

Spend the morning sunbathing, swimming, or taking a peaceful walk along the golden shoreline. Bentota’s beach and lagoon area are also well known for a variety of optional water sports, including jet skiing, water skiing, snorkeling, surfing, and boat rides.

The rest of the day is free to enjoy at your own pace. Relax by the sea, unwind at your hotel, or choose an optional coastal activity with assistance from your guide.

In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk along the beach and watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean.
