Your first stop is the Step Pyramid of Saqqara, one of the earliest monumental stone structures in the world and a remarkable milestone in ancient Egyptian architecture.

Before leaving Cairo, visit a Papyrus Institute to learn about traditional papyrus-making techniques and the important role papyrus played in recording ancient Egyptian history.

Later in the evening, transfer to Giza Railway Station and board the overnight sleeper train to Luxor.

Upon arrival in Luxor, transfer to your hotel and check in. Your hotel is located near the Nile River, offering a convenient base for exploring the city’s ancient treasures.

In the evening, visit the magnificent Luxor Temple. Beautiful during the day and especially atmospheric after dark, the temple offers a memorable introduction to ancient Thebes.

Continue to the impressive Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most influential female rulers and one of the few women to rule with the full titles and authority of a pharaoh.

Next, visit Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Ramesses III, famous for its monumental reliefs and inscriptions commemorating the king’s military campaigns, including conflicts with the Sea Peoples.

Later, stop at a local alabaster workshop to see how traditional handmade pieces are created by local artisans.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Luxor and travel by road to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast.

After breakfast, begin your full-day exploration of Cairo, starting in the heart of the city at Tahrir Square.

Visit the Egyptian Museum, home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Your guide will highlight some of the museum’s most important exhibits while allowing time to explore the galleries and discover statues, sarcophagi, mummies, jewelry and everyday objects from ancient Egypt.

Continue with a visit to a local perfume and essence workshop, where you can learn about traditional Egyptian oils and fragrances and browse locally produced essences.

Next, travel to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church (Church of the Virgin Mary) and the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, traditionally associated with the Holy Family’s journey through Egypt.

Continue to Islamic Cairo and explore the impressive Citadel of Saladin, including the famous Mosque of Muhammad Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque.

Conclude the day at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of Cairo’s most famous historic markets, where you can wander through its lively lanes and browse traditional handicrafts, souvenirs and local products.
