About Gökyay Association Chess Museum

The Gökyay Chess Museum, located within the Altındağ Municipality in a central area, is housed in a historic Ankara-style building that reflects the city’s architectural heritage. Within its 1,008 m² exhibition space, the museum showcases 734 chess sets from 113 countries, displayed under four main themes: Children, Design, Countries & Civilizations, and War & Peace.
Visitors are invited to embark on a unique cultural journey through these thematic displays, each offering a different perspective on the universal language of chess.

Chaturanga Café

Taking its name from Chaturanga, the earliest known Sanskrit word for chess found in ancient Indian texts, Chaturanga Café welcomes guests with both indoor and outdoor seating options suitable for all seasons. It offers a warm atmosphere where you can enjoy the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, read your favorite book, or share pleasant moments with friends.
The café also provides a versatile venue for group meetings, meals, and brunch events, making it an inviting spot for both leisure and gatherings.
