period. Then you will visit Deyrulzafaran
Monastery, also known as Mor
Hananyo Monastery, residence of the Metropolitan of Mardin.
It reached its current form in the 18th century,

there.

restaurant to taste local cuisine.
In the afternoon, first you will visit Mardin Grand Mosque, reflecting Artuqid architecture. And finally, you will finish the day

Then you continue to Midyat district,
about an hour drive from Mardin, known for its attractive villages and
monasteries. Midyat was an Assyrian village during the Ottoman period. You
will visit Midyat Guest House, an
old Assyrian house from the 19th century.
You
will have a lunch break in Midyat.
After lunch, you will continue with Mor Gabriel (Saint
Gabriel) Monastery, one of the oldest surviving Syriac Orthodox
monasteries in the world, as it is dating from the 5th century.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel.
Overnight in Mardin hotel.

Zinciriye Madrasa (Isa Bey Madrasa),
a 14th-century Islamic school is the next place to visit. It also served as a
religious school until the 1920s, the republican revolution.
Before your lunch break, you will visit Mor Behnam (Kirklar)
Church, the Church of the 40 Martyrs, dating from 569, built in
honour of Syriac Saint Behnam and his sister.
Finally you finish your tour with the famous Dara Ancient City,
