Begin in Tarangire National Park, famed for its huge elephant herds and tree-climbing lions, then travel through the fertile crater highlands to the endless plains of the Serengeti for game drives, including a dawn drive when wildlife is most active. Spend your final morning descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, where, with a little luck, you may spot the "Big Five". Three nights are spent in tented lodges and camps, with meals as specified in the itinerary. The tour ends back in Arusha. Itinerary

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and after a short briefing you set off to the Tarangire National Park. ‘The Elephant Playground,’ as Tarangire is sometimes called, provides a spectacular destination for a memorable game drive. Huge herds of elephants are a distinctive feature of Tarangire, but the grassland, swamps, and floodplains found here are home to big cats, giraffe, baboons, and hippo – plus many, many more species. Tree-climbing lions and rock pythons are other local specialties. Around evening you will leave the Tarangire and head to the Lodge, where you will spend the night.

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, you will drive towards the fertile crater highlands, where farmers grow wheat, corn and coffee. You will pass the Ngorongoro Crater area before reaching the plains of Serengeti National Park, arriving in the Serengeti at midday from Tarangire plus an afternoon game drive. You can downgrade or upgrade your accommodation level.
Accommodation: Makoma Hills Luxury Camp, a luxury tented bush camp located inside Serengeti NP.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Dawn is a good time to watch wildlife, so you will be up early to join an early morning game drive. You will return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out for another game drive in the park. After a picnic lunch, you will continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you reach the crater rim, you will enjoy fantastic views of this 600 m deep collapsed volcano. Your lodge is situated near the crater's edge, making for some fantastic photography. There is the possibility to downgrade or upgrade your accommodation level.

After an early breakfast, you will drive down the steep and narrow road that takes you into the crater. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to Savannah. Here the wildlife is just breath-taking and with a little luck, you can observe the “Big Five” in just a few hours. After a morning dedicated to game viewing, Bird watching and a picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the early afternoon to drive back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening.
