Itinerary

Warmly welcome you on arrival at Noi Bai international airport. We transfer you with a comfortable vehicle to the city center of Hanoi to check-in your hotel. This day is scheduled to take some rest after your long flight. You have the opportunity to get some first impressions of the city by yourself and of course our tour guide is always available at your request. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up for a full-day tour around Hanoi. We’ll kick things off at the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you’ll find his mausoleum, a serene garden, a stilt house, and a museum that tells the story of his life and legacy

Our first stop is the mausoleum, resting place of Ho Chi Minh, the nation's beloved leader. Located right in the heart of Ba Dinh Square, this is one of Vietnam’s most significant landmarks. The mausoleum is open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and weekends.

Next, we’ll head to the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s humble stilt house, completed on May 19, 1958. This simple structure has become a symbol of his modest lifestyle.

Nearby, we’ll visit the One Pillar Pagoda, which appears like a lotus blooming from the middle of a square pond. Built in 1049 by King Ly Thai Tong, its design was inspired by a dream in which the Goddess of Mercy on a lotus.

Next, we'll visit the Temple of Literature, renowned as Vietnam's first university. This historic site offers a fascinating glimpse into the country’s educational journey, dating back over 1,000 years and continuing to the present day.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to the impressive Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which celebrates the country's 54 ethnic groups. The museum features both indoor and outdoor exhibits, showcasing the unique architectural styles of various ethnic houses. Keep in mind that the museum is closed on Mondays.

We’ll pick you up and drive through Hanoi’s narrow streets to meet up with the group in the historic Old Quarter. Our first stop is the French Quarter, where we'll visit the Hanoi Opera House. Here, you'll learn about the city’s French colonial past, along with the elegant architecture and history of this iconic building.

Next, we’ll head to the Long Bien Bridge, an impressive structure built over a century ago. Spanning the Red River, it connects the Hoan Kiem and Long Bien districts and provides shelter to locals living on boats below. Only motorbikes and bicycles are allowed to cross, so we'll be hopping on and taking in the views!

Our next stop takes us along the riverside to the Red River Island, where we’ll visit a hidden gem of a village. This is a chance to see a different side of life in Hanoi, where people live modestly and farm on the island. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and chat with the locals, and our guide will even take you to a local family’s home to get a glimpse of their daily life.

From there, we’ll drive through lush banana farms, soaking in the beauty of the green vegetable fields along the way. We’ll also visit a kumquat farm, where these small, vibrant trees are grown. Kumquat trees are a traditional gift during Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, symbolizing luck, health, wealth, fertility, and peace, and they grace every home during the holiday season.

Next, we’ll ride over to Tran Quoc Pagoda, located by the scenic West Lake, the largest lake in Hanoi. From certain spots, you can take in sweeping views of the city, with charming houses and glimpses of the more affluent neighborhoods.

We’ll then drive along Thanh Nien Street, which runs between West Lake and Truc Bach Lake, making a stop at the John McCain Monument. This marks the spot where the late U.S. senator’s plane was shot down during the Vietnam War. Here, you’ll learn more about his story and the historical significance of this site.

We’ll keep the adventure going as we ride through the botanical garden and weave through the narrow alleys, admiring the slender, quaint houses along the way. Our next stop is Huu Tiep Lake, where you can check out the B-52 crash site. This U.S. bomber was shot down during the intense 1972 bombing raids on Hanoi, and its remains in the lake serve as a powerful reminder of that time in history.

After a short ride on the Vespa, we’ll stop near Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum for a stunning view of the area, including the Presidential Palace, the Parliament Building, and various government offices. Our guide will share fascinating stories and historical insights about Hanoi, giving you a deeper understanding of this vibrant city.

For our final stop, you’ll get to savor some delicious Vietnamese coffee, including the famous egg coffee, right by the railway tracks. This spot offers a unique view of local life, with tall, narrow houses just centimeters from the tracks.

After enjoying your coffee, we’ll hop back on the Vespa and head to a local restaurant where you can indulge in authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Once lunch is over, our Vespa team will take you back to your hotel, or you can get off wherever you like—just let your rider know. It’s been a fantastic journey, and we’ll say our goodbyes as we wrap up this memorable day!

Breakfast will be served at the hotel, and afterward, we’ll transfer you to Noi Bai International Airport for your departure flight.

Thank you for being with us—it's been a pleasure to serve you!
