Last, but not least – Kaunas. It‘s the second largest city of Lithuania and former capital between the World Wars. In Kaunas you will get to the top of Christ Ressurection Church to see the panorama, strall the streets of the Old Town. Pass by St George‘s church, castle ruins, Town hall square, Cathedral, Perkunas house, Freedom avenue. Kaunas is famous for the Art Deco architecture, you will definitely see some samples of it. Morning drive to the only port of Lithuania – Klaipeda. Take a ferry from Klaipeda to Curonian Spit. Stop at Juodkrante and climb the Hill of Witches decorated with numerous wooden sculptures based on Lithuanian legends and folk tales. Stop at bird sancturary. Further drive to Nida ( 30 km), former fisherman village, famous for it‘s majestic sand dunes, neo-gothic church, old ethnographic cemetary.
