About this tour
A five-day dahabiya cruise down the Nile from Esna to Aswan, sailing at the pace of the old sailing boats with only a handful of cabins on board. The route stops at El-Hegz island and Bisao island for village walks, the temple of Horus at Edfu, the ancient sandstone quarries of Gebel El-Selsela, the double temple of Haroeris and Sobek at Kom Ombo and the camel market at Daraw. All meals are served on board and every night is spent moored along the river.

Itinerary
- Arrive at Luxor airport or train station and transfer to Esna by car (50 km south), Embarkation at the Dahabiya and start sailing for about 4-5 hours heading to El-Hegz island where you will enjoy a walk through a small village. Dinner on board and overnight.
- First night on board.
- Breakfast on board , sailing , visit el Kab ancient tombs and temples ruins. Lunch on board
- Sailing to Edfu city where you visit the beautifully preserved temple of Horus that has been buried under the desert for hundreds of years. Then set sail for a small island near Edfu and the boat will stay there for the night. Dinner on board.
- Second night on board.
- Breakfast on board , Sailing to Bisao island where you will enjoy a walk through the island and see the people's life and fishing boats. After that sailing to visit Gebal El-Selsela the ancient sandstone quarry where the cliffs on both sides close to the narrowest point along the length of the entire Nile. Sailing. Dinner on board . Third night on board.
- Breakfast on board , Sailing to Kom Ombo city where we will visit the double temple of Haroeris and Sobek. After that sailing to Daraw where we will walk through the village and visit the Daraw camel market (according to availability . Lunch on board Sailing towards Aswan.
