5 Days Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti Plains Adventure

Arrive in Kilimanjaro airport warmly welcome from our expert safari guide, he will transfer you to Karatu which is about three- and half-hour driving till to your hotel

While you are on your way to Karatu enjoying a scenic drive through the stunning countryside. Along the way, take in views of rolling hills, open plains, and traditional Maasai homesteads, often accompanied by herds of cattle tended by Maasai herders dressed in vibrant style , when you cross the great rift valley your eyes will be flushing with beautiful view of the green forest and lake Manyara National Park after ascending the escarpment of the rift valley

Arrive in Karatu late evening check-in at your lodge, a warm dinner, and a restful overnight stay waiting to unlock the thrill adventure next morning.

After breakfast, depart Karatu around 8:00 AM, setting out on a breathtaking journey toward one of Africa’s most iconic destinations—Serengeti National Park. As you travel, enjoy panoramic views as you ascend through the Ngorongoro Highlands. If the skies are clear, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the Ngorongoro Crater from a scenic viewpoint along the way.

Continue across the vast plains, watching the landscape transition into the endless savannahs of the Serengeti, home to the legendary Great Migration and abundant wildlife. Arrive around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness, and begin your first game drive in the Serengeti—where lions, cheetahs, elephants, and wildebeests roam freely.

In the evening, head to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Today is dedicated to a full-day exploration of the legendary Serengeti National Park. With no rush, set out after breakfast for an unhurried journey through the endless plains, following wildlife at your own pace. This is your chance to fully immerse yourself in the park’s rich ecosystems and witness the incredible diversity of animals—from majestic lions and stealthy leopards to vast herds of zebras and wildebeest.

At midday, enjoy an unforgettable bush lunch in the heart of the Serengeti, surrounded by raw nature and wide-open skies—a true safari moment. After a full day of adventure and photography, return to your lodge or camp in the evening to relax, dine, and recount the day’s unforgettable sightings before settling in for the night.

Rise early for a scenic drive from Serengeti National Park to the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Upon arrival, descend into the crater floor for a half day game drive within this UNESCO World Heritage Site, often referred to as a “Garden of Eden” for its rich concentration of wildlife.

Explore the crater’s diverse habitats, where you may encounter the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, as well as hippos, flamingos, zebras, and lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated spot, surrounded by the incredible scenery and sounds of the wild.

In the late afternoon, ascend the crater wall, soaking in stunning views as you make your way to your lodge perched on the rim or nearby highlands, where you’ll enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay

After breakfast, depart Karatu and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park for exploring the majestic park with numerous Elephants and spectacular savanna embedded with giant’s baobab trees acacia and the palms, as you enter the park, enjoy a game drive, with opportunities to spot various bird species set against the dramatic backdrop of trees and expansive nature.

With you picnic lunch pack enjoy your midday meal in stunning picnic site with a great view overlooking the Tarangire River  

After the lunch continue with the game drive while you’re slowly exiting the park and back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel, or continue directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight
