A Journey Through Bavaria and the Black Forest 14 Days – 13 Nights

Arrival at the international airport in Munich, the capital and the largest city of  the german state Bavaria. Located on the River Isar north of the Bavarian Alps, Munich is the third largest city in Germany, behind Berlin and Hamburg. Its native name, München, is derived from the Old High German Munichen, meaning "by the monks‘ place". Our representative will welcome you individually as you are arriving in different flights and drive to the city to check in at the selected Hotel. Later on, free time to rejuvenate or start exploring the city; walk through the historic city center, including Karlstor Gate, the Cathedral of Munich (Frauenkirche), the Odeon Square and Marienplatz (Mary Square)  where the city hall is located. Breakfast at the Hotel. Depart from the hotel for a 4-hour guided drive around the highlights of Munich. Begin your day with a visit to the magnificent Nymphenburg Palace, the former summer residence of the Bavarian rulers. Then, we will drive for a short stroll in Munich's expansive English Garden, one of the largest urban parks in the world. Admire the serene landscapes, scenic bridges, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the famous surfers riding the Eisbach Wave. Whether enjoying leisurely boat rides, exploring historic sites, or simply soaking in the scenic vistas, Chiemsee captivates visitors with its idyllic charm and serene ambiance. Upon arrival, we will board a boat to get to the Herrenchiemsee Island. Accompanied by your guide, explore the picturesque site, marvel at the natural beauty surrounding the island as you stroll through its tranquil pathways and gardens. Then, visit the opulent interiors, including the grand State Apartments, Hall of Mirrors, and the famous King Ludwig's Hall of Frescoes. After the visit, we will return with the boat to mainland to continue our ride to the Salt Mine Berchtesgaden. Take a leisurely stroll along the shores of the lake, known for its crystal-clear waters and stunning mountain backdrop. Around midday, depart from Lake Tegernsee and continue the journey to our next visit. Discover the natural beauty of Lake Walchensee, nestled amidst the picturesque surroundings of the Bavarian Alps. Then, descend to Lake Eibsee, located at the base of Zugspitze.
