Also visit King’s Memorial Chorten continuously circumbulated by His Majesty’s subjects, spinning prayer wheels and murmuring mantras. Then, visit Handicrafts Emporium and local shops if you like to browse through example of Bhutan’s fine traditional arts. Here you can buy textiles, thangkha paintings, masks, ceramics, slate and wood carvings, jewellery, interesting items made from local materials, and all manner of unique objects. After breakfast Proceed for a full day to Punakha (Approx 75km/ 3 Hours from Thimphu). Punakha is the old capital of Bhutan and now its district of punakha Dzongkhag. Punakha was the capital of Bhutan till 1955.

En-route Dochu la Pass. Visit Douchu la pass (3150masl), in this pass most of time snowfall but it is depends on the weather and you can see the ice on opposite of the roadside. The pass is a popular among the tourists because of its 360 degree panoramic view of Himalayan range. The place is worth going in clear winter days with magnificent view of snow-capped mountains and mountain pass.

Visit to punakha Dzong: The Punakha Dzong, also known as Pungthang Dewa chhenbi Phodrang, is the administrative centre of Punakha District in Punakha, Bhutan. Constructed by Ngawang Namgyal, 1st Zhabdrung Rinpoche, in 1637–38, it is the second oldest and second largest dzong in Bhutan and one of its most majestic structures and Suspension Bridge.

Morning Hike to chimmi lhakhang- Chimi Lhakhang, also known as Chime Lhakhang or Monastery or temple, is a Buddhist monastery in Punakha. Located near Lobesa , it stands on a round hillock and was built in 1499 by the 14th Drukpa hierarch, Ngawang choegyel , after the site was blessed by the "Divine Madman" the maverick saint Druk Pa Kinley (1455–1529) who built a Chorten on the site.

After lunch, proceed to paro, stop near chu zom- two river meeting together, visit iron bridge, stop near paro river and enjoy the view of Paro airport.Visit Ta Dzong, Paro Rinpung Dzong (Museum), Nya-Mey Zam.

Over Night: Paro

Morning - After breakfast, take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery, the most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery hence it is called “Tiger’s Nest”. The excursion to monastery’s view point takes about 5 hours for round trip. while return back visit Kitchu Lhakhang.

After breakfast drive to the airport for flight to onward destination
