Pick up from your hotel in the morning and then depart At 09:00 meeting at Çesme Ulusoy Port for passport and check-in procedures. Departure is at 09:30 and after a 40 minutes enjoyable trip we arrive to Chios( is also called Sakiz) Island. After passport control at the Chios Port, we start our tour by bus waiting for us. Vrondados advancing northward along the coast of the island, we see homes that make up the most beautiful examples of island architecture. Our first stop is Daskalopetra (Teachers Rock). Daskalopetra on the north coast of Vrondados is one of the islands best known monuments. Tradition closely links it with Homer and it is regarded as Homers School where he used to teach. Next we arrive in Kardamyla, or ancient Kardamyli as referenced by Thucydides. Many of Greek major shipowners come from this village, while a significant number of residents are seamen. The symbol of Kardamyla is the Kardamylite seaman whose statue stands in the village port, Marmaro. After a short coffee break in Marmaro, we leave for lunch in Lagada. Lagada, one of the most significant tourist areas of northern Chios. Lagada is a village of seamen built right on the coast, in the inlet of the bay with the same name. The name of the village comes from the fact that it is built between a wide lagadi (ravine), which opens toward the seashore with a small plain full of olive trees. Along the seashore there are many traditional tavernas offering fresh fish and local delicacies. After having lunch, we leave for our return to the town of Chios.
