Pick up between 8:30 am – 9:30 am from your hotel in Ankara City Center. We will visit the award winning MUSEUM OF ANATOLIAN CIVILIZATIONS which was established in 1921 and reached its present structure in 1968. In the museum you can simply see the summary of human civilization where yo can see the artefacts from Palaeolithic Age ( 8000 BC ), Neolithic Age ( 8000-5500 BC ), Calcolithic (Copper-Stone) Age ( 5500-3000 BC ) to present time. The museum has a perfect exhibition about historic Anatolian cultures like Hittites, Phrygians, Urartus and Late Hitties. Next stop will be THE ANKARA CASTLE which is one of the oldest sites in Ankara and is believed to date back to late Hittites period 1600 BC. The castle was used by Roman, Seljuklu and Ottoman empires. The castle overlooking the city contains a small neighbourhood of old historichouses and a local market which you can enjoy. After that we will visit THE MAUSELOUM OF ATATURK. Ataturk the started and lead the indepedence war of Turkey and saved the country and he is also the founder of democratic and secular Turkish Rebuplic. Here you can see hall of honour, the mauseloum, the lion's road, the towers with symbolic meanings, ceromonial ground, change or guards ceromony, and museum.
