Day 07 – Yala National Park

Wake up early to begin your journey to Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka's premier wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, enjoy an overnight stay at a comfortable lodge near the park.

Yala National Park, located in the southeast of Sri Lanka, is famous for its rich biodiversity. It is home to an array of wildlife, including leopards, elephants, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Among its most renowned inhabitants are the majestic leopards, considered the lords of the jungle. With the highest density of leopards anywhere in the world, Yala offers the best chance to witness these elusive predators in their natural habitat. Elephants roam freely across the park, while deer dart cautiously through the underbrush.                                               The park’s varied landscapes provide the perfect environment for an incredible variety of wildlife. At the lagoons, you may spot colorful painted storks, resting alongside dozing crocodiles. Peacocks display their resplendent feathers, and monkeys leap through the trees, chattering and playing.
