What makes this tour special
Itinerary
Meet your representative at the airport and transfer to your riad. Enjoy a welcome mint tea and a trip briefing. At 6:30 pm, join a guided food tour of Jemaa el-Fna square: harira soup, grilled skewers, snails, pastries, orange juice and tea. The tour replaces dinner.
Meals: dinner.
Overnight: 4-star riad in the medina.
Visit the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the Koutoubia (exterior) with an official guide. Walk through the spice souk, the olive and date sellers and the herbalist, and stop at a neighbourhood bread oven. Lunch in a medina restaurant with tangia, a Marrakech speciality. Free afternoon and evening.
Meals: breakfast, lunch.
Overnight: 4-star riad in the medina.
Enjoy a free morning, or add an optional sunrise hot air balloon flight. At 2:30 pm, meet artisans in their workshops: zellige tilework, weaving and leather. At 4:30 pm, cook in a family home: tagine, cooked salad, homemade bread and honey pastry. The meal you prepare is your dinner, shared with the family.
Meals: breakfast, dinner.
Overnight: 4-star riad in the medina.
At 9:30 am, leave Marrakech behind and head south towards the High Atlas Mountains. The road (65 km, about 1h45) winds through the market town of Tahanaout and the valley of Asni, where olive groves and red-earth villages gradually give way to dramatic mountain scenery. On a clear day, the snow-capped peaks of Toubkal National Park appear on the horizon.
On arrival in Imlil, at 1,740 m, settle into your mountain lodge, nestled among walnut and apple orchards, with sweeping views over the valley.
Mountain picnic: enjoy a picnic prepared by the lodge, set up in a peaceful spot among the orchards or by the river, with the mountains as your backdrop.
E-bike ride to Aremd (about 2 hours, all levels): explore the valley at your own pace on an electric mountain bike, accompanied by your guide. The electric assistance makes the climb effortless, so you can focus on the breathtaking landscapes, the Berber villages and the walnut forests. You will also stop in Aremd for mint tea in a local home.
Back at the lodge, take time to relax before a traditional Berber dinner.
At 9 pm, end the day on the lodge terrace for a magical stargazing session. Far from any light pollution, the mountain sky reveals the Milky Way and countless constellations: an unforgettable moment in the silence of the Atlas.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Overnight: mountain lodge in Imlil
At 8:30 am, trek with your mountain guide to the village of Tachdirt (2,300 m), a three-hour climb through terraces and walnut trees. Enjoy lunch in a local home: village-oven bread, tagine cooked with the family and mint tea. Descend by another path (2h30) and return to the lodge around 4:30 pm. Dinner at the lodge, with a second stargazing evening if the weather allows.
