Highlight: A visit to Hofbräuhaus, Munich’s legendary beer hall, where you can indulge in a hearty Bavarian lunch featuring schnitzel, pretzels, and, of course, beer. Vegetarians will also find several options. In the afternoon you will visit the Munich Residenz Palace, we provide the entrance tickets. Spend the afternoon exploring the Palace, home to Bavarian royalty for centuries. As you walk through its richly decorated rooms, you’ll learn about the history of Bavaria’s royal family and their traditions. Don’t miss the Residenz Christmas Market just outside, offering elegant royal-themed gifts and souvenirs. Your day will end at the Tollwood Christmas Fair, located at Theresienwiese, the same grounds as the Oktoberfest. Unlike the more traditional markets, this fair has a unique twist, combining art, culture, and music with a vibrant festive atmosphere. You can wander through various tents, each offering different types of entertainment, from local bands to street performers. From the castle walls, the bustling Christmas markets below will begin to come into view, creating a perfect backdrop for photos. For lunch, we will suggest and make a reservation at “Albrecht Dürer Stube,” a traditional German restaurant named after Nuremberg’s famous artist. Expect hearty, warming dishes such as sausages, schnitzels, and various vegetarian options in a cozy atmosphere that transports you to another era. Then, spend your afternoon wandering through the Christkindlesmarkt, one of the world’s most iconic Christmas markets. The market’s origins date back to the 16th century, and it’s famed for its wooden stalls adorned with twinkling lights. Sip on hot mulled wine as you browse handmade gifts and decorations.
